Chinese New Year and a Tinge of Red
GONG XI GONG XI! ANGBAO GIA LAI!*
Alrite. So i know im a little late in giving out well-wishes for the festivities, pls pardon me. Haha.
This CNY was a particularly "not-so-boring" one for me.
Started with church in the morning. I finally learnt n rem something from church all this while *oops!*. Heh. What i learnt was the actual meaning of the word 福, which is the chinese word for "blessing". The inscription of the left of the word stands for "God". The inscription on the right side, from the top to the bottoms stand for "one mouth, field". This whole word, thus, stands for "When a man is in a land with God, it is blessing". Get it? if not, jus search the World Wide Web and you'll come across many other chinese words with biblical meaning.
After church, my family proceeded to my paternal grandmother's place, where the youngsters had the usual steamboat, albeit very rushly this year as i had to rush off to my maternal grandmother's. So lunch wasnt very enjoyable.
Maternal grandmother's was the usual small gathering of a couple of my cousins and such. Did some balloons for my nieces and that was about it after which i proceeded to my boss' place and "JUS WATCHED ABIT OF TV"! ehehheheeh.
Ang Bao money this year was phenomenol! Not gonna say the exact, but it certainly went past the $200 mark! Not a little bit, but by "quite a FAIR" margin. hehehe. Now now, you sharks keep away from me ok. dun think you could come and sponge me dry!!! wahahaha.!!
Tts abt it for now!
ANG BAO GIA LAI!
